When used in conjunction with a shock cord the angler can position his tag line or outrigger clip for maximum lure performance and lock the halyard in place. This is achieved by twisting the pulley body placing several twists in the halyard and then locking the single ring snap swivel. This will prevent the halyard from twisting which prevents it from slipping down as you troll.
